Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Dallas is seeking a Donation Processor to greet customers and donors, process donations, and issue receipts. You will assist shoppers, help with lifting items, and maintain an orderly stockroom.

Responsibilities include sorting donations, pricing hard goods, keeping the production area clean and safe, and following safety procedures. You will represent the store with a courteous, professional attitude.

Qualifications

• Adhere to the organization’s Core Principles.
• Knowledge of retail and/or stock handling.
• Ability to listen and follow directions.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service.
• Knowledge of textile articles related to garment classification (garments, shirts, pants, etc).
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English effectively.

Responsibilities

• Greet each customer with a courteous, friendly and professional attitude; provide prompt, efficient, and accurate service.
• Receive donations from donors and issue donation receipts; assist customers with lifting items.
• Sort donations into carts or bins and determine quality of donations.
• Sort and price hard goods.
• Keep the production area and store clean and safe as directed.
• Provide general information to customers/donors and escalate issues as needed.
