Job summary

Goodwill Dallas is seeking a Donation Attendant in Plano, TX to greet donors, process donations, issue receipts and help with lifting items. You will maintain the stockroom and assist customers with a courteous, professional attitude throughout the shift.

Key duties include sorting donations, pricing hard goods, keeping the work area clean and safe, and following safety procedures. A neat appearance and reliable teamwork are required to excel in this role.

Qualifications

• Adhere to the organization’s Core Principles.
• Knowledge of retail and/or stock handling.
• Ability to listen and follow directions.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Able to react calmly to emergencies.
• Knowledge of textile articles related to garment classification (garment types).
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Greet each customer with a courteous, friendly and professional attitude; provide prompt, efficient, and accurate customer service at all times.
• Receive donations from donors and issue donation receipts; assist customers with lifting items.
• Sort donations as they arrive into proper carts or bins and determine the quality of donations.
• Sort and price hard goods (miscellaneous).
• Keep the production area clean and safe and other store areas as directed.
• Maintain a well-groomed appearance and proper dress code including name badge and vest.
