Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia is seeking a Donation Attendant at Weir Place (Finance). You will greet donors, assist with unloading donations, presort by category, and load trailers safely. The role requires maintaining a clean work area, following policies, and reporting security concerns.

Evenings/weekends may be required. A background check is required, and a High School Diploma or GED is preferred. No prior experience is necessary to apply.

Qualifications

• Must pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, efficient, and courteous service to all customers.
• Assist customers with donations by greeting donors and unloading their vehicle without damaging the car.
• Accurately presort donations by category and label donations accordingly.
• Safely load trailers.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment for safety and efficiency.
• Ensure the security of company assets and report any security or theft concerns.
• Follow department policies and procedures.
• Communicate directly and consistently with supervisor about problems in the donation area and with customers.
• Adhere to dress code and personal hygiene standards as set by Goodwill.
• Exercise sound judgment in interactions with customers and Goodwill policies.
