Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona is hiring at its Phoenix store. You will join a store team to enhance customer and brand experience, handling donations, labeling items, and assisting with loading and unloading merchandise.

The role requires strong customer service, English proficiency, and the ability to obtain a forklift certification. A background check and drug screen may be required, and the position involves safety-focused operations with equipment like pallet jacks.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to pass a forklift certification class.
• Ability to speak and read English proficiently.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Accepts all donations from customers and provides outstanding customer service.
• Label Gaylords correctly.
• Provide receipts to donors for donations of all sizes.
• Inquire about hazardous donations and direct proper disposal.
• Create sales tickets and signs for furniture and large items.
• Assist customers with loading/unloading furniture and items to/from vehicles.
• Maintain merchandise placement and production room organization following the Picture Process Map (PPM) standards.
• Assist in loading/unloading merchandise from trucks or trailers as needed.
• Safely operate pallet jack and walkie stacker.
• Conduct daily safety inspections of equipment and comply with safety rules.
