Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (GCNA) in Tempe, AZ seeks a team member to lead an excellent customer and brand experience while promoting sales. You will receive and process donations, label items, and assist customers with loading, ensuring proper disposal of hazardous items when needed.

Starting pay is $15.15 per hour. The role involves operating equipment, maintaining store organization, and supporting cross-training across positions as business needs dictate.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Ability to pass a forklift certification class.
• Ability to speak and read English proficiently.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Accepts all donations from customers, providing outstanding customer service.
• Labeling Gaylords correctly.
• Provide receipts to donors for all donations.
• Inquires about hazardous donations and directs proper disposal.
• Write up sales tickets and signs for large items.
• Assist customers with loading/unloading furniture and items.
• Maintain merchandise placement and production room organization per standards.
• Assist in loading/unloading onto/off trucks or trailers as needed.
• Operate pallet jack and walkie stacker safely.
• Conduct daily safety inspections on equipment.
• Follow safety rules and wear required safety equipment.
• Provide floor care at retail store as needed.
• Cross-train in other store positions as needed.
• Maintain regular in-person attendance.
