Job summary

Goodwill of the San Francisco Bay seeks a store team member in San Mateo, CA to lead a high-quality customer and brand experience and promote sales. You will accept donations, help customers, label items, and ensure receipts are issued for all donations.

Responsibilities include operating warehouse equipment, loading furniture, and maintaining shop and production area organization. Regular attendance and safety compliance are required.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to pass a forklift certification class.
• Ability to speak and read English proficiently.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for position.

Responsibilities

• Accept donors with outstanding customer service.
• Label Gaylords correctly.
• Provide receipts to donors for all donations.
• Inquire about hazardous materials and provide disposal locations.
• Write sales tickets and signs for large items.
• Assist customers with loading/unloading furniture or items.
• Maintain organization using PPM standards.
• Operate pallet jack/walkie stacker safely.
• Conduct daily equipment safety inspections.
• Cross-train in other store roles as needed.
