Goodwill Industries of Northeast Indiana, Inc. is seeking Donation Attendants for our Huntington, IN stores. You will greet donors, bring donations inside, issue tax receipts, and help sort items by category.

No prior experience required; training is provided. This role involves heavy lifting and teamwork, with emphasis on safety, ethics, and community service. You’ll be the face of Goodwill in our mission to empower people.

Qualifications

• No experience required; training provided.
• No specialized educational requirements; training provided.
• Subject to background check.
• Ability to work within the team concept.
• Subject to random alcohol and drug testing as specified in the Drug Free Workplace Program.
• Fully comply with Goodwill policy regarding values and ethical behavior with special emphasis on the Code of Ethics.

Responsibilities

• Answers the donation door as soon as the buzzer rings.
• Unloads donations for the donor and handles donations in a professional manner while bringing them inside.
• Distributes tax receipts.
• Processes donations efficiently.
• Accurately prices and moves merchandise directly to staging areas.
• Assists in maintaining safety and security of donated merchandise.
• Uses hand truck, pallet jack or flat carts to move donations or customer items for pickup.
• Keeps area clean and organized during and at end of shift.
• Follows all safety rules and practices.
• Heavy lifting, pushing and pulling required.
