Job summary

AIT Worldwide Logistics is seeking a Domestic Lead in Kansas City to oversee the efficient movement of shipments from origin to destination across airfreight, LTL, FTL, and cartage. The role collaborates with warehouse teams, manages routing, quoting, tracking, and onboarding of new staff, ensuring compliance with IATA and TSA regulations while driving improvements and proactive client communication.

Experience in freight forwarding is required; 5+ years with domestic forwarding and 2+ years

Qualifications

• High School Degree or equivalent required.
• Associate's Degree preferred.
• 5+ years in freight forwarding and domestic forwarding.
• 2+ years SAP, AS400, and CargoWise experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Domestic Supervisor and coordinate with warehouse team on inbound labels and driver check-in.
• Quote, track, and trace domestic shipments including air/ground for key accounts.
• Manage routing queues, daily reports, milestones, and dock checks.
• Assist in escalations and process improvements; onboard new team members and train staff.
• Support project rollouts and monitor team goals and client communications.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
