Job summary

SimVentions is seeking an enterprising System Administrator to develop and implement Windows- and Linux-based engineering solutions within a government hosting facility. The role requires full-time on-site presence at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD.

The ideal candidate will hold an active Security+ certification and be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance after starting. Responsibilities include deploying hardware and software, ensuring backups, and maintaining security posture per DoD

Qualifications

• Three years of relevant experience in system administration.
• Experience verifying RMF compliance with STIG/ACAS scanning.
• A certification in a Windows or Linux operating environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering solutions for a government hosting facility.
• Deploy and maintain physical/virtual hardware and containers.
• Perform system maintenance and configuration changes.
• Install, configure, troubleshoot servers/workstations/IT equipment.
• Maintain backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Manage user accounts and permissions.
• Deploy and maintain software applications.
• Troubleshoot issues and maintain documentation.
• Provide customer support and best-practice guidance.
• Maintain security posture per DoD guidance and continuous monitoring.
• Participate in Agile planning and provide on-site networking support.
