Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a Systems Administrator to design and implement Windows- and Linux-based engineering solutions for a government software hosting facility, with full-time on-site work at the NAVAIR base in PAX River, MD.

The role requires an ACTIVE Secret clearance with potential to upgrade to Top Secret, and at least three years of system administration experience. Responsibilities include deploying hardware, managing VMs and containers, backups, security posture, and Agile planning.

Qualifications

• At least three years of system administration experience.
• Experience with RMF/ STIG/ACAS scanning.
• Certification in Windows or Linux operating environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering solutions for government hosting facility requirements.
• Deploy and maintain physical and virtual hardware, VMs, and containers.
• Perform routine maintenance and configuration changes on servers and IT equipment.
• Maintain system backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Manage user accounts and permissions and deploy applications.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and document configurations and incidents.
• Support DoD guidance to secure information systems and monitor security posture.
• Engage in Agile project planning and provide on-prem networking support.
