Job summary

SimVentions, Inc is seeking an enterprising System Administrator to develop and implement Windows- and Linux-based engineering solutions within a government software hosting facility. This full-time on-site role is based at the NAVAIR base in PAX River, MD.

The position requires ACTIVE Secret clearance with potential for Top Secret after start. Responsibilities include deploying and maintaining hardware and virtual infrastructure, backups, disaster recovery planning, security posture, and Agile

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required; ability to obtain Top Secret.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience implementing system administration tasks.
• Experience with RMF, STIG and ACAS scanning and compliance.
• Certification in Windows or Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering solutions for government hosting environments.
• Deploy and maintain physical/virtual hardware, VMs and containers.
• Perform routine maintenance and configuration changes on hosts.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot servers, workstations and IT equipment.
• Maintain backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Manage user accounts and permissions.
• Deploy and maintain software applications and services.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and document actions.
• Maintain documentation, knowledge base and configurations.
• Provide customer support and guidance on best practices.
• Secure information systems per DoD guidance and monitor security events.
• Maintain config and security posture via continuous monitoring.
• Participate in Agile project planning and provide on-prem networking support.
