Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking an experienced System Administrator to design and implement Windows- and Linux-based solutions in a government hosting facility. This on-site role is located at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD and requires an active clearance.

Responsibilities include deploying and maintaining hardware and software, backups, security posture, Agile planning, and networking support for on-premises infrastructure. A SECRET/Top Secret clearance path is noted.

Qualifications

• At least three years of relevant experience
• Experience with RMF, STIG, and ACAS scanning
• Certification in Windows or Linux environment

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering solutions in a government hosting facility
• Deploy and maintain physical/virtual hardware, VMs and containers
• Perform maintenance and configuration of hosts
• Install and troubleshoot hardware/software on servers/workstations
• Maintain backups and disaster recovery plans
• Manage user accounts and permissions
• Deploy and maintain software applications
• Troubleshoot issues
• Maintain system documentation
• Provide technical support and best-practices guidance
• Secure information systems per DoD guidance
• Maintain security posture via monitoring/events
• Participate in Agile project planning
• Provide networking support to on-premises infrastructure
