Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking an on-site System Administrator to develop and implement Windows- and Linux-based solutions for a government hosting facility at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD. The role requires an active Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret later.

You will deploy and maintain hardware, VMs, containers, and software, while ensuring backups, documentation, and DoD-aligned security practices. Expect a rigorous, mission-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of experience in system administration roles.
• Experience evaluating RMF compliance including STIG and ACAS scanning.
• Certification in Windows or Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering solutions for government hosting facility issues.
• Deploy and maintain physical and virtual hardware, VMs, and containers.
• Perform routine maintenance and configuration changes on hosts.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software on servers/workstations.
• Maintain backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Manage user accounts and permissions.
• Deploy and maintain software applications and provide customer support.
• Maintain system documentation and security posture; support Agile planning.
• Provide on-site networking support for on-premises infrastructure.
