Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a System Administrator to develop and implement Windows- and Linux-based engineering solutions within a government software hosting facility. This on-site role requires full-time presence at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD.

Active Secret clearance is required with potential to obtain Top Secret later, and a Windows or Linux certification is preferred. Candidates should have at least three years of related experience and be prepared to work in a structured DoD environment.

Qualifications

• At least three years of system administration experience.
• Experience with RMF, STIG, and ACAS scanning.
• Certification in Windows or Linux operating environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering solutions for govt hosting facility problems.
• Deploy and maintain physical and virtual hardware, VMs and containers.
• Perform routine maintenance and configuration changes on hosts.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot servers and IT equipment.
• Maintain system backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Manage user accounts and permissions.
• Deploy and maintain software applications.
• Troubleshoot technical issues.
• Maintain documentation and knowledge base.
• Provide technical support to customers and guidance on best practices.
• Maintain DoD posture and continuous security monitoring.
• Participate in Agile project planning.
• Provide networking support to on-premises infrastructure.
