Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Major Incident Response Technician to support the Major Incident Response Cyber Support Center at Joint Base Andrews in Camp Springs, Maryland. This is a full-time, on-site role with ad-hoc telework options available.

The position involves end-to-end incident management in a DoD environment, rapid triage, coordination with internal and external teams, and clear status communication to government leadership. Secret clearance and Security+ are required.

Qualifications

• Two years DoD environment experience.
• Must hold a valid Secret clearance.
• CompTIA Security+ certification required.
• 5+ years IT experience including PC OS, networking, mail, and help desk.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify and classify major IT incidents and events.
• Serve as the primary triage point and coordinate swift responses with internal/external teams.
• Establish troubleshooting bridges for coordination between technical teams.
• Maintain clear, timely status updates to government leadership from inception to resolution.
• Communicate incident status and impact through government channels and command structures.
• Drive investigations with the problem management team for root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Provide phone and in-person support for email, directories, Windows apps, and contract apps.
• Troubleshoot hardware/software PC and printer problems on-site.
