Job summary

TekSynap Corporation seeks a Major Incident Response Technician to join our AFNCR IT Services team, supporting Joint Base Andrews, MD. You will manage the full lifecycle of incident response and coordinate with internal and external teams to rapidly resolve critical IT incidents for government stakeholders.

The role requires a Secret clearance, DoD experience, and strong communication skills to brief leadership and maintain situational awareness during incidents. On-site swing shift included.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance.
• Active CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Associate degree or equivalent in IT/engineering or similar field.
• Alternative degree/experience substitutions as described.
• 5+ years of relevant experience with 3+ years specialized.
• 2+ years DoD environment experience.
• Strong understanding of network equipment and architecture.
• Excellent written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide phone and in-person support for email, directories, Windows apps.
• Troubleshoot PC and printer problems.
• Identify and classify major IT incidents.
• Coordinate triage and response with internal/external teams.
• Facilitate incident communications and status updates.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
