Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Major Incident Response Technician to provide full lifecycle incident management in a DoD environment at Joint Base Andrews, Camp Springs, MD, with on-site duties and occasional telework. You will lead triage, coordinate resolution efforts, and communicate status to leadership.

The role requires DoD experience, Security+ certification, and strong networking/OS knowledge, with a 2:00 PM–10:30 PM swing shift Tuesday–Saturday after a 30-day on-site training period.

Competenze

• Minimum two years of work experience in a DoD environment.
• Five years total IT work with at least three years specialized experience (PC OS, networking, mail standards, help desk).
• Strong communications skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced operations setting.
• Must hold a CompTIA Security+ certification.

Mansioni

• Identify and classify major IT incidents using data from AFNCR centers and monitoring tools.
• Serve as primary contact for triage and coordinate swift resolutions with internal/external teams.
• Facilitate troubleshooting conference bridges for cross-team coordination.
• Provide timely status updates to government leadership from inception to resolution.
• Maintain situational awareness and communicate operational impact to stakeholders.
• Lead investigation and root cause analysis with problem management for corrective actions.
• Provide phone and on-site support for email, directories, Windows apps, and contracted software.
• Troubleshoot hardware/software PCs and printers as the initial contact.
