Job summary

ABSC is seeking a Major Incident Response Technician to support AFNCR ITS-2 at Joint Base Andrews. You’ll coordinate major IT incidents, engage resolution teams, and communicate with government leadership throughout the incident lifecycle.

The role requires an active Secret clearance, CompTIA Security+ certification, and experience in a DoD setting. The on-site position includes a Tuesday–Saturday swing shift with a 30-day day-shift training period.

Qualifications

• Active Secret security clearance required.
• Current CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Minimum experience in a DoD environment.
• Foundational knowledge of networks, Windows, and email systems.
• Experience providing help-desk or technical-support services.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify, assess, and classify major IT incidents.
• Coordinate rapid response and engage resolution teams.
• Establish troubleshooting bridges and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Maintain incident documentation and track progress through resolution.
• Provide on-site and phone support for Windows desktops and related apps.
• Brief stakeholders clearly and manage multiple incidents under pressure.
