Job summary

M&C Saatchi World Services is seeking a hands-on Director of Business Development to grow our work across the DoD. You will identify, qualify, shape, and advance new opportunities across DoD components, building a qualified pipeline with partner-driven growth strategies.

This hybrid role is ideal for someone living in the DMV region, with strong industry relationships and a disciplined, entrepreneurial approach. Travel ~10% is expected.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in or around the DoD market.
• 5+ years in direct DoD BD and/or capture.
• Deep knowledge of DoD market dynamics and buying patterns.
• Proven track record of winning federal opportunities.
• Experience with prime and subcontracting strategies.
• Strong network with DoD buyers, partners and influencers.
• Familiarity with FAR/DFARS and related contracting processes.
• Experience supporting RFIs, white papers and capability briefings.
• Understanding of capture plans, win themes and color teams.
• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain clearance.

Responsibilities

• Build a qualified DoD pipeline aligned to WSUS growth priorities across services.
• Identify, qualify, and advance opportunities across DoD components.
• Develop account and partner strategies for near-term and long-term growth.
• Maintain relationships with government buyers, primes, and partners.
• Support prime and subcontracting strategies with differentiated value.
• Lead BD activities for smaller opportunities and subcontracting pursuits.
• Qualify, shape, and transition larger opportunities to capture with insight.
• Support responses to RFIs, sources sought and capability briefings.
• Participate in proposal strategy and color team reviews.
• Track opportunities and CRM data with disciplined pipeline hygiene.
