Job summary

RTX in New Hampshire seeks an experienced System Administrator to manage a heterogeneous Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment and oversee virtualization and container platforms including VMware vCenter, vSphere, Horizon, ESXi, KVM, Podman, Docker, and Kubernetes/OpenShift.

You will partner with cybersecurity teams to maintain compliance with DFARS, RMF, and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework while supporting mission systems on-site, with occasional after-hours work and up to 10% travel; DoD

Qualifications

• Active U.S. government secret clearance required before start.
• U.S. citizenship required for clearance eligibility.
• 5+ years of relevant system administration experience.
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) in enterprise environments.
• Experience with secure configurations and system hardening.

Responsibilities

• Provide system administration in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment.
• Utilize virtualization and containerization technologies (VMware vCenter, vSphere, Horizon, ESXi, KVM, Podman, Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift).
• Collaborate with engineers and other teams to resolve infrastructure and integration challenges.
• Partner with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with DFARS, RMF, and NIST frameworks.
• Provide on-site support for mission systems in a DoD area with possible after-hours work and up to 10% travel.
• Obtain DoD 8140/8570 certification within six months of hire.
• Demonstrate flexibility to support shifting business needs.
