RTX is seeking a System Administrator to manage a dynamic Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment and support a range of security-focused tasks in an onsite setting. You will patch systems, resolve complex issues, and collaborate with Cybersecurity professionals to ensure compliant operations.

The role requires a Secret DoD clearance and US citizenship, with the ability to obtain DoDD 8140/8570 certification within six months. Experience in HPC, AD/LDAP, and virtualization is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Active, transferable U.S. government Secret security clearance required before start.
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems.
• Ability to obtain DoDD 8140/8570 certification within six months.
• University degree or equivalent experience, or an advanced degree.
• U.S. citizenship required; only U.S. citizens are eligible for security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain a dynamic Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment.
• Provide system administration in a fast-paced, team-based setting.
• Perform monthly system patches and updates for security.
• Remediate vulnerabilities from SCAP scans and STIG findings.
• Ensure backups, data restoration tests, and data retention.
