Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Systems Administrator in Marlborough, MA to design, implement, and sustain secure Windows and Linux environments in a DoD‑classified setting.

You will manage virtualization (VMware), imaging, deployment automation, and identity services while collaborating with Cyber Security and DevSecOps teams to meet mission objectives. On‑site with travel and a 6‑month clearance target.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience or advanced degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Active U.S. government security clearance is required before start.
• U.S. citizenship required for security clearance eligibility.
• Experience securing Windows and RHEL servers and virtualization environments.
• Experience with patching, vulnerability remediation, and compliance tooling.

Responsibilities

• Support Windows and Linux enterprise environments with design, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Manage VMware ESXi/vCenter in a large, 24x7x365 environment.
• Engineer imaging, deployment, and automation using MECM/SCCM, PXE, and Windows imaging.
• Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, and secure configurations.
• Collaborate across DT, Engineering, Cyber Security, and DevSecOps to resolve complex issues.
