Job summary
RTX in the United States is seeking a Principal Systems Administrator to support Windows and Linux enterprise environments in a 24x7 operation on site at a DoD-cleared facility. You will manage patching, imaging, and virtualization with VMware, configure AD/Group Policy, and collaborate across Cyber Security, DevSecOps, and Networking teams to meet strict DoD requirements.
This on-site role requires interim clearance to start, US citizenship, and willingness to travel as needed; RTX offers
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
- U.S. citizenship and interim clearance to start required.
- Experience administering Windows and RHEL servers.
- Experience with VMware virtualization.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting.
Responsibilities
- Maintain Windows Server, Windows 11, RHEL 7/8/9 and virtualization in 24x7x365 environments.
- Implement patching, vulnerability remediation, and STIG/SCAP compliance with cyber teams.
- Design and manage VMware ESXi/vCenter infrastructure and VM lifecycle.
- Develop imaging, deployment, and automation using MECM/SCCM, PXE, and PowerShell.
