Job summary

GXO is seeking a Dockmaster to lead dock activities and ensure safe, efficient trailer movements at our facility in North Carolina. This hands-on leadership role partners with operations, transportation, safety, and customer teams to prioritize tasks, enforce safety, and model accountability.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse or dock environment.
• Ability to coordinate dock/yard activities in a fast-paced operation.
• Knowledge of trailer docking and release procedures.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strong communication with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Champion safety and support dock-related tools and equipment.
• Coordinate dock activities and trailer movements to support daily priorities.
• Manage docking, release, and yard flow with fleet safety standards.
• Monitor dock conditions and apply stop-work authority when unsafe.
• Collaborate daily with site operations, transportation, and customer teams.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure dock activities align with guidelines and 7S standards.
• Provide coverage to site leadership and lead peers as needed.
