Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. in Lithia Springs, GA is seeking a Yard and Dock Coordinator for 2nd shift (Mon-Thu 4:00pm-2:00am) to lead dock activities and ensure safe, efficient trailer movements.

This hands-on role collaborates with operations, transportation, safety, and customer teams to maintain workflow and service excellence. You’ll monitor dock conditions, manage trailer docking and yard flow, and use Office 365 and Google Suite to document issues, track activity, and communicate with

Qualifications

• Experience working in a warehouse, distribution, dock, yard, or transportation-related environment.
• Ability to coordinate dock or yard activities in a fast-paced operation.
• Working knowledge of trailer docking, release procedures, and trailer anatomy.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and across varied terrain.
• Proven ability to follow defined processes, safety standards, and escalation protocols.
• Strong communication skills with daily customer-facing and cross-functional interactions.
• Comfort using Microsoft Office 365 and/or Google Suite applications.

Responsibilities

• Champion operation safety and support dock-related equipment.
• Coordinate loading/unloading dock activities to support daily priorities.
• Manage trailer docking, release, and yard flow.
• Monitor dock conditions and escalate unsafe situations.
• Collaborate with site operations, transportation, yard services, and customers.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
