Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc is seeking a Yard and Dock Coordinator for the Weekend 2nd Shift to oversee dock activities, trailer movements, and yard flow. This hands-on leadership role coordinates with operations, transportation, safety, and customer teams to ensure safe and timely movements.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, distribution, dock, yard, or transportation environment.
• Ability to coordinate dock/yard activities in a fast-paced operation.
• Knowledge of trailer docking, release procedures, and trailer anatomy.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Follow defined safety standards and escalation protocols.
• Strong communication for daily customer-facing interactions.

Responsibilities

• Champion operation safety and dock equipment support.
• Primary contact for loading/unloading dock activities and trailer movements.
• Manage trailer docking, release, and yard flow with fleet safety standards.
• Monitor dock conditions and escalate unsafe conditions.
• Coordinate daily with site operations, transportation, yard services, and customer teams.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders maintaining customer service.
• Ensure dock activities align with process guidelines and safety standards.
• Support dock and yard organization per 7S standards.
• Conduct regular visual inspections to identify risks or delays.
• Use Office 365 and Google Suite to track activity.
• Provide coverage to site leadership and Lead peers.
