Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Yard and Dock Coordinator for 1st shift (7:00am–3:30pm). You will be the primary contact for dock activities, ensuring safe, efficient trailer movements and coordinating with operations, transportation, safety and customer teams.

This hands-on role emphasizes accountability and customer service, with opportunities to lead daily dock activities and support site leadership while maintaining 7S standards and effective communication across departments.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, dock, yard or transportation environment.
• Ability to coordinate dock or yard activities in a fast-paced operation.
• Knowledge of trailer docking, release procedures, and trailer anatomy.
• Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to follow defined processes, safety standards and escalation protocols.
• Strong communication with stakeholders and teams.

Responsibilities

• Champion safety and dock equipment readiness.
• Coordinate loading/unloading dock activities and trailer movements.
• Manage dock/yard flow and sequencing to support priorities.
• Monitor dock conditions and follow escalation procedures.
• Collaborate with site operations, transportation, yard services and customers.
• Document issues using Office 365 or Google Suite.
