Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Yard and Dock Coordinator for a 3rd shift (Mon-Fri, 10:00pm–6:30am) at our Moncks Corner facility. You will drive safe trailer movements, coordinate dock activities, and partner with operations, transportation, safety, and customer teams to meet daily priorities.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, accountability, and a strong customer service mindset while adhering to safety and process standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse, dock, yard, or transportation setting.
• Ability to coordinate dock or yard activities in a fast-paced operation.
• Knowledge of trailer docking, release procedures, and trailer anatomy.
• Comfort working outdoors in varied weather.
• Ability to follow defined safety processes and escalation protocols.
• Strong communication with internal/external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Champion operation safety and support dock equipment as required.
• Act as primary contact for loading/unloading dock activities and trailer movements.
• Manage docking, release, and yard flow per safety standards.
• Monitor dock conditions and apply stop-work authority when needed.
• Partner with site ops, transportation, yard services, and customers daily.
• Communicate professionally with stakeholders and maintain service mindset.
• Ensure dock activities align with guidelines and complete tasks.
• Support dock/yard organization following 7S standards.
