Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc is seeking a Yard and Dock Coordinator for the 3rd shift (Sunday-Thursday, 10:00pm-6:30am) to lead dock activities and ensure safe, efficient trailer movement. This hands-on role works with operations, transportation, safety, and customer teams to execute tasks with accountability and strong customer service.

The ideal candidate has warehouse or dock experience, excels in fast-paced environments, and can coordinate dock operations while following safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse, distribution, dock, yard, or transportation environment.
• Ability to coordinate dock/yard activities in a fast-paced operation.
• Knowledge of trailer docking and release procedures.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and varied terrain.
• Follow defined safety standards and escalation protocols.
• Strong communication for daily customer-facing and cross-functional interactions.
• Comfort with Microsoft Office 365 and Google Suite applications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate dock movements to support daily operational priorities.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for loading/unloading dock activities.
• Manage trailer docking, release, and yard flow in line with safety standards.
• Monitor dock conditions and apply stop-work authority when needed.
• Collaborate with site operations, transportation, yard services, and customer teams.
• Maintain professional communication with internal and external stakeholders.
