Job summary

Jobtailor in Northlake, IL is seeking a Warehouse Operations Supervisor to lead City Pickup and Delivery operations, routing, and dock performance to ensure safety, efficiency, and on-time service. You will train and supervise hourly staff, monitor performance, analyze issues, coordinate with other departments, and ensure compliance with regulations.

Strong leadership and communication are essential, along with forklift safety certification.

Qualifications

Must be able to meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 100+ lbs.
Forklift safety certification and hazardous material handling certification required.
Supervisory experience required.
Ability to work any shift.
Must be able to perform all Operations jobs in the Terminal including Dock, Dispatch, Warehouse, and Routing.

Responsibilities

Provide training, supervision, feedback, and discipline for hourly Operations team members.
Route City operation.
Manage the daily performance of the City Pickup and Delivery Operation for optimal safety, performance, on-time Service, cost control, and claims prevention.
Ensure On-time Delivery service by ensuring pick-ups and deliveries are made timely and efficiently and returns are kept to a minimum.
Monitor Line Haul operation.
Monitor Dock performance and efficiency and adjust manpower as needed.
Solve problems regarding lost and missing freight.
Communicate with other departments to ensure a successful operation.
Work in a safe and professional manner.
Report facility problems to the Facility Maintenance Department.
Comply with federal, state, and company regulations.
Process all paperwork daily associated with the job.
Perform other duties as needed.
