Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, distribution, dock, yard, or transportation environments.
• Ability to coordinate dock or yard activities in a fast-paced operation.
• Knowledge of trailer docking, release procedures, and trailer anatomy.
• Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strong communication for daily customer-facing and cross-functional interactions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and Google Suite.
• Previous lead or coordinator experience preferred.
• Exposure to safety programs, YMS, or WMS environments preferred.
• Experience enforcing stop-work authority and safe work practices.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand long hours, and walk 10,000+ steps.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for all dock-related activities.
• Coordinate trailer movements for loading and unloading activities.
• Manage and sequence trailer docking, release, and yard flow.
• Monitor dock conditions and stop-work authority when unsafe conditions are identified.
• Follow proper escalation procedures.
• Partner with operations, transportation, yard services, safety, and customer-facing teams.
• Prioritize multiple tasks and competing demands.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders while maintaining customer service standards.
• Ensure dock activities align with process guidelines, safety standards, and site SWIs.
• Support dock and yard organization according to 7S workplace standards.
• Conduct visual inspections to identify risks, inefficiencies, and potential delays.
• Use Microsoft Office 365 and Google Suite tools to track activity, communicate updates, and document issues.
• Provide coverage and operational support to site leadership and Lead peers as needed.
