Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking a Dock Supervisor to oversee daily operations, safety, and efficiency in our service center. You will manage shifts, supervise dock staff, and ensure loading/unloading meets safety and quality standards.

The role requires strong leadership, familiarity with AS400 and freight monitoring systems, and the ability to communicate with drivers and customers. This is a full-time, overnight position offering comprehensive benefits and opportunities for

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2 years of working operations experience in transportation preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor safety of each employee daily.
• Oversee safe and efficient loading/unloading of freight.
• Supervise dock staff and assign shifts to meet objectives.
• Ensure compliance with safety, OSHA, and DOT regulations.
• Conduct daily shift meetings and provide feedback on performance.
