Job summary

Brunswick Corporation, a global marine leader and Freedom Boat Club division, seeks a Dock Master to lead the dock team, ensure vessel readiness, and deliver exceptional member experiences. This full-time role partners with the Dock Experience Manager to coach Dock Hands, manage scheduling, and uphold safety and service standards on busy marina docks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Background/education check and drug screen required.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• Strong customer service and communications skills.
• Willingness to perform minor boat maintenance (engine oil, drive oil, filters, bilge pump, etc.).
• Ability to regularly perform physical tasks including bending, kneeling, balancing and lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to read and manipulate handheld tablets.
• Ability to adhere to safety policies.
• Positive, cooperative attitude and ability to work unsupervised.
• Availability to work weekdays, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead dock hands; prioritize work, delegate tasks, and ensure standards.
• Assist with labor planning and scheduling; provide staffing recommendations.
• Train and onboard new Dock Hands on policies, safety, service standards, and vessel readiness.
• Ensure Fleetio tasks are completed daily.
• Provide coaching and feedback for staff development and accountability.
• Monitor dock operations; address issues to keep environment safe and ready.
• Maintain fleet readiness; oversee cleanliness and fueling.
• Ensure inventory and facilities are organized and safe.
• Resolve member concerns and provide timely service recovery.
• Collaborate with Dock Experience Manager on complex issues.
