Job summary

Roadrunner is seeking an Operations Supervisor in Houston, TX to oversee dock operations, staffing, and off-hours Customer Service. You will manage load planning, line haul details, equipment usage, and safety compliance while controlling costs and ensuring data accuracy.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree or 1–2 years of related experience, strong communication, and the ability to lead teams in a fast-paced logistics environment. On-site role with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 1–2 years related experience and/or training.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Proficient PC skills including email, databases, spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Supervise dock operations and personnel, including load planning, deliveries, and contractor utilization.
• Ensure safe, clean work environment and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with contractors on loading/unloading, DOT requirements, and settlements.
• Ensure accurate data entry, paperwork, and freight routing.
