Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Dockworker in Pasco, WA to safely load and unload freight and support warehouse operations.

The role requires attention to safety, reliable teamwork, and the ability to operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. You'll read shipping labels, complete freight movement forms, secure cargo with straps and airbags, and help ensure on-time deliveries for customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have working knowledge of safe and efficient lifting and transporting procedures.
• Experience with freight movement documents (shipping orders, manifests, freight bills).
• Ability to operate dock yard management system to monitor shipment locations.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight on trailers using forklifts, pallet jacks or manually.
• Use loading techniques such as tight or cross loading.
• Transport personnel and freight throughout the service center.
• Read and interpret shipping labels and freight movement forms.
• Secure freight inside trailers with straps, airbags, and related supplies.
