Job summary

Associated is seeking a Dock & Door Technician in Minnesota. You will perform scheduled maintenance and simple repairs on dock doors, levelers, and locks to ensure uptime and provide excellent customer service.

The role includes a company-provided van and tools, a flexible 4-day/10-hour or 5-day/8-hour schedule, and a comprehensive benefits package with medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with 100% company match up to 5%, FSA/HSA, parental leave, tuition assistance, and 18 paid days off annually.

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of a high school diploma/GED and/or one to three years mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic experience in a similar environment or equivalent in college or vocational education.
• Excellent people skills and verbal communication are necessary.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Exhibits a professional demeanor and promotes goodwill between the company and customers by providing a superior level of customer service.
• Performs Scheduled Maintenance (SM) on Dock and Doors for contracted customers according to the OEM Manual and company policies and procedures.
• Performs minor repairs found during an SM to ensure optimal uptime of customer equipment.
• Effectively communicates repairs that require follow up to Team Lead or SMFT.
• Follows safety rules and ensures hazardous waste is disposed of properly.
• Maintains service truck and inventories; ensures paperwork is neat and timely.
• Maintains tools and equipment in good condition and follows customer safety guidelines.
