Job summary

Associated is hiring a Dock & Door Technician for Madison, Milwaukee, Janesville territory in Wisconsin. The role requires 1–3 years of related experience and a valid driver’s license.

You will perform scheduled maintenance, minor repairs, and ensure uptime while following safety protocols. We offer a flexible schedule with 4x10 or 5x8 shifts, paid travel time after 30 minutes, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma/GED and/or one to three years mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic experience.
• Excellent people skills and verbal communication is necessary.
• Demonstrated experience reading and interpreting schematics, maps, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and material-handling equipment.
• Proven record of delivering high-quality customer service through professional, courteous, and effective information exchange.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Exhibits a professional demeanor and promotes goodwill between the company and customers by providing a superior level of customer service.
• Performs Scheduled Maintenance on Dock and Doors for contracted customers according to OEM Manual and company policies.
• Performs minor repairs found during maintenance to ensure optimal uptime of customer equipment.
• Communicates effectively with Team Lead or SMFT for follow-up on issues requiring escalation.
• Follows safety rules and ensures hazardous waste is disposed of properly.
• Opens and closes work orders with Dispatch and documents time worked and maintenance performed.
• Maintains part inventory and supplies in the service vehicle.
• Keeps the service truck clean, organized, and hazard-free.
