Job summary

Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) in Bethesda, MD seeks an experienced Retail/Services Operations Supervisor to manage store operations, customer service, and back-end processes. You will collaborate with management to optimize programs, reduce expenses, and maximize service quality.

The role requires coordinating staffing, training, payroll controls, and ensuring policy compliance. HazMat training is required within 90 days of hire per regulations, with a total five-year experience

Qualifications

• 3 years' experience in administrative, professional, investigative, or other responsible work which enabled the applicant to gain a general knowledge of management practices and administrative processes.
• 1 year of academic study, above the high school level may be substituted for 9 months of experience, up to a maximum of a 4 year bachelor's degree for 3 years of general experience.
• 2 years of progressively responsible experience in administrative, supervisory, managerial, professional, or technical work that demonstrated knowledge of management principles and store operations.

Responsibilities

• Manages and coordinates store receiving, stocking, customer service, accounting, and front end operations.
• Audits policies and procedures to ensure effectiveness of operations.
• Supervises associates engaged in accounting, janitorial, customer service, etc.
• Coordinates staffing requirements and training programs; manages schedules and payroll expenses.
