Job summary

NAVY EXCHANGE SERVICE COMMAND (NEXCOM) in Bethesda, MD is seeking a part-time associate to deliver exceptional customer service at the Navy Exchange store. You will handle transactions, assist customers with layaway, refunds, exchanges, and special orders, while supporting a busy sales team.

Responsibilities include opening NEXCARD accounts, answering questions about accounts, and maintaining store policies. Join a dynamic team that serves service members and their families with pride.

Qualifications

• 1 year responsible experience in clerical office or retail sales store work.
• Study completed in college/university above high school level may be substituted on the basis of one-half academic year of study for 6 months of experience.

Responsibilities

• Greets and provides specialized services to customers.
• Performs transactions quickly, efficiently and professionally.
• Handles layaway services and explains layaway policies.
• Processes refunds, merchandise exchanges and price adjustments per policy.
• Takes and monitors customer special orders, deposits, and communicates delivery updates.
• Assists customers with NEXCARD applications and questions about balances, limits, etc.
