Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking an Assistant Divisional Finance Director to lead financial management for the NCI Division, supervising finance staff and ensuring timely reporting in a nonprofit setting.

You will oversee budgeting, variance analyses and annual operating plans, while coordinating audits and financial planning with senior leadership. A strong accounting background is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required; MBA/CPA preferred.
• Minimum 10 years’ management experience in accounting/finance.
• Experience in nonprofit organizations preferred.
• 10 years’ experience with full cycle accounting, including GL, financial analysis and budgeting.
• Experience directing accounting practices across multi-site organizations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall financial management and oversight to all corps and 360 service centers within the NCI Division.
• Lead Finance department staff to ensure compliant, timely reporting.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and variance analyses for governance bodies.
• Oversee cash flow, budgets and annual operating budgets.
• Coordinate with Internal Audit and budgeting and external audits.
