Job summary

Veit & Company, Inc. in Duluth, MN is seeking a Diver/Dive Tender to join our union-based crew.

You will tend, dive, and standby dive as required, performing underwater and topside tasks per project needs, including dredging, burning, welding, drilling, and concrete work. Candidates should have 2–3 years of related experience with a Dive Certificate from an accredited school, plus O2 Administrator, CPR, and First Aid/AED certifications.

Qualifications

• Two to three years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Dive Certificate from accredited diving school.
• O2 Administrator, CPR, and First Aid/AED certifications.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to read and understand site plans.
• Reliable attendance and dependable work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform tending, diving, and standby diver tasks as required by project needs.
• Work with small equipment and tools.
• Inspect and maintain equipment; refer defects to foreman or supervisor.
• Adhere to safety procedures and report concerns as needed.
• Follow procedures from orientations and training; maintain a clean, safe job site.
• Assist other crafts as needed and support project operations.
• Travel as required; long hours including evenings and weekends.
