Job summary

Veit & Company, Inc. is seeking a Diver/Tender to serve in tending, diving, and standby diver roles on diverse projects including dredging, burning, welding, drilling, and concrete work. You may assist other craft workers as needed and must follow safety procedures and project orientations.

The position requires a dive certificate, O2 admin, CPR and First Aid/AED certifications, and 2–3 years of related experience or training. Travel and long hours are expected in this role.

Qualifications

• Dive Certificate from accredited diving school.
• O2 Administrator, CPR, and First Aid/AED certifications.
• Two to three years of related experience and/or training (or equivalent education).
• Ability to read and understand site plans.
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Perform tending, diving, and standby diver tasks as required.
• Work with small equipment and tools and assist other craft workers as needed.
• Inspect and perform preventative maintenance on equipment; report defects to supervision.
• Follow OSHA safety procedures and project-specific protocols.
• Maintain a clean, secure job site and ensure daily security of the area.
• Communicate known actions to project foreman or superintendent to avoid issues.
• Assist with other projects or duties as assigned by management.
