Job summary

Veit & Company, Inc. in Wisconsin seeks a Diver/ Dive Tender to perform tending, diving, and standby duties on varied projects, including dredging, welding, and concrete work.

Requirements: dive certificate, O2 administrator, CPR and First Aid/AED, plus strong communication and ability to read site plans. Qualifications

• Two to three years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent education.
• Dive Certificate from accredited diving school.
• O2 Administrator, CPR, and First Aid/AED certifications.
• Effective communication skills with coworkers, management at all levels, customers and clients.
• Ability to complete on-the-job training.
• Ability to read and understand site plans.
• Ability to problem solve and assist in solutions to unexpected issues.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.

Responsibilities

• Perform tending, diving, and standby diver tasks on projects.
• Work with small equipment and tools as required.
• Inspect and maintain assigned equipment; refer defects to supervisors.
• Follow company and OSHA safety procedures and raise concerns to management.
• Follow training protocols and daily job orientations.
• Maintain a clean, safe job site and secure the area daily.
• Keep foreman and superiors informed of actions affecting operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
