Job summary

Veit is seeking a Diver/Dive Tender in Duluth, MN for a full-time marine role. You’ll tend, dive, and standby as required by dredging, burning, welding, and other projects. Maintain equipment, follow safety protocols, and coordinate with foremen while keeping the site orderly.

Requirements include a dive certificate, O2 administrator, CPR/First Aid, and ability to travel. Union-based position with daily rounds and long hours as needed; benefits apply per union agreements.

Qualifications

• Junior college or trade/vocational training, two to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Dive Certificate from accredited diving school.
• O2 Administrator, CPR, and First Aid/AED certifications.
• Ability to read and understand site plans.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Tend, dive, and standby diver as required by project needs.
• Inspect and maintain assigned equipment; report issues.
• Follow OSHA safety procedures and project orientations.
• Keep jobsite clean and secure; report hazards to supervision.
• Travel as needed and work long hours including evenings/weekends.
