Job summary

GF Hotels & Resorts in Eau Claire, WI is seeking a bartender for a busy restaurant. You will take drink orders, recommend beer and wine, and craft traditional and unique cocktails while keeping the bar clean and sanitary.

The role offers $10 plus tips per hour, evening and weekend shifts, part-time with potential to become full-time, and a fast-paced environment with high guest expectations.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience required; upscale cocktail or craft bar experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, premium spirits, wine, beer, and modern mixology techniques.
• Ability to create and consistently execute high-quality, handcrafted cocktails.
• Experience preparing cocktail ingredients from scratch, including syrups, infusions, garnishes, and other specialty components.
• Strong attention to presentation, detail, and consistency.
• Ability to provide polished, elevated guest service in an upscale bar environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all customer checks and tabs are paid as well as record daily sales total and enter into point of sale system.
• Restock and clean as instructed, including side work for opening and closing of the restaurant.
• Purchase needed bar supplies, stock and track all wine, liquor, and beer stocks, and have a full supply of glassware on hand, notifying management of any supply issues or shortages.
• Properly identify customers' age through identification cards, and serve alcoholic beverages following all applicable federal, state, local, and company rules and regulations.
• Take patron orders and deliver a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages including wine, beer, liquor, and mixed drinks.

• Comfortable making recommendations and speaking knowledgeably about spirits and cocktails
• Responsible for bar prep, maintaining mise en place, and assisting with cocktail menu execution
• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually polished bar
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining service and quality standards during busy periods
• Evening and weekend availability required, with some holidays
• Schedule will vary based on business levels and events
• Position begins Part-Time with potential to transition to Full-Time
