Job summary

ECWI Hospitality in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, seeks a friendly bartender for a fast-paced, upscale bar. You will take drink orders, recommend beer and wine, craft cocktails, and keep the bar clean and sanitary.

Evening and weekend shifts required with some holidays; compensation starts at $10 per hour plus tips. Prior bartending experience and knowledge of classic cocktails and premium spirits highly valued.

Qualifications

• Must have previous bartending experience.

• Ability to create high-quality handcrafted cocktails.
• Experience preparing cocktail ingredients from scratch (syrups, infusions, garnishes).
• Strong attention to presentation and guest service in an upscale bar.

Responsibilities

• Maintain bar cleanliness and mise en place; stock and inventory bar supplies.
• Identify customers for age verification and comply with regulations.
• Handle checks, tabs, and record daily sales in POS.

Job description

Do you like working in a fast-paced environment, meeting new people, and making a wide range of creative cocktails? You could be the ideal candidate for the position of bartender at our busy restaurant. You have a positive attitude and a customer-focused approach that ensures our patrons have a great time at the bar. You will be in charge of taking drink orders, recommending beer and wine, preparing traditional and unique mixed drinks, and maintaining the bar area so it is clean and sanitary at all times.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all customer checks and tabs are paid as well as record daily sales total and enter into point of sale system
• Restock and clean as instructed, including side work for opening and closing of the restaurant
• Purchase needed bar supplies, stock and track all wine, liquor, and beer stocks, and have a full supply of glassware on hand, notifying management of any supply issues or shortages
• Properly identify customers' age through identification cards, and serve alcoholic beverages following all applicable federal, state, local, and company rules and regulations
• Take patron orders and deliver a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages including wine, beer, liquor, and mixed drinks
• Evening and weekend availability required, with some holidays
• Schedule will vary based on business levels and events

Qualifications

• Upscale cocktail or craft bar experience strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, premium spirits, wine, beer, and modern mixology techniques
• Ability to create and consistently execute high-quality, handcrafted cocktails
• Experience preparing cocktail ingredients from scratch, including syrups, infusions, garnishes, and other specialty components
• Strong attention to presentation, detail, and consistency
• Ability to provide polished, elevated guest service in an upscale bar environment
• Comfortable making recommendations and speaking knowledgeably about spirits and cocktails
• Responsible for bar prep, maintaining mise en place, and assisting with cocktail menu execution
• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually polished bar
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining service and quality standards during busy periods

Position begins Part-Time with potential to transition to Full-Time Compensation: $10 plus tips
