Job summary

Leominster Public Schools is seeking a Secondary Science Content Specialist to support grades 6-12 across the district. The role focuses on strengthening pedagogy and implementing HQIM aligned to Massachusetts standards, including leading model lessons and collaborating with teacher teams on curriculum and assessment.

Ideal candidates will have at least five years of secondary teaching experience, a Master’s in Secondary Education, and SEI Endorsement, with salary commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of experience at the secondary level.
• Master degree in Secondary Education.
• Secondary Education Certification with SEI Endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Work cooperatively with administrative and instructional staff on district-wide initiatives.
• Provide professional development training for personnel.
• Keep abreast of new developments in pedagogical practices.
• Model lessons as appropriate.
• Lead school-based data meetings focused on continuous improvement.
• Coordinate MTSS tiered intervention systems and programs.
• Stay current with technology and instructional applications for classroom use and professional development.
• Support curriculum development and implementation.
• Support the district's vision and mission.
