Job summary

Springfield Public Schools seeks a dedicated Sy26-27 SEZP Middle School Science Teacher for grades 6-8, starting August 2026. This role requires MA General Science licensure and a commitment to high-quality instruction within the SEZP framework.

Educators will deliver standards-aligned science instruction, collaborate in PLCs, and engage families as partners to support student growth and belonging in a strengths-focused school culture.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching at the middle school level.
• Valid Massachusetts DESE license in General Science or eligible for a waiver.
• Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction using research-based curriculum and effective instructional strategies.
• Collaborate with colleagues, including participation in co-teaching teams and professional learning communities.
• Engage families through regular communication and shared problem-solving.
• Uphold school-wide expectations related to curriculum, assessment, and professional conduct.
