Job summary

Summit Hill School District 161 is seeking a Building Level Computer Technician to provide technical support across the district, enabling effective use of technology in schools. The role focuses on tablet device management, software installation, and collaboration with the technology leadership to implement district plans.

Responsibilities include maintaining hardware inventories, upgrading devices, and assisting teachers with technology integration.

Qualifications

Technical training in use of the internet and installation of hardware and software.
Knowledge and experience in working with the internet, Microsoft, Apple, Google platforms.
COMPTIA A+/N+ certification preferred.
Demonstrated aptitude or competence for the responsibilities assigned to this position.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

Ability to implement, maintain, upgrade and repair of district tablet devices.
Ability to formulate, communicate, and execute timelines to all plans that affect the use of tablets in the schools.
Communicate and collaborate with Director of Technology and Assistant Director of Technology.
Install software applications consistent with District Software Standard and licensing guidelines.
Maintain records of hardware inventory, updates and repair history.
Monitor the functioning of technology hardware in the schools.
Assist classroom teachers by working together utilizing technology and software applications
Other duties as may be assigned.
