Job summary

Airgas in Memphis, TN is seeking a District Sales Manager to drive outside sales growth and account management across a regional footprint. The role focuses on lead generation, coaching AMs, and executing strategic sales initiatives to expand new business and deepen existing relationships.

The position emphasizes training on core sales methodologies, collaboration with the regional team, and active pipeline management to meet targets and grow margins.

Qualifications

• Strong financial and analytical skills with ability to read P&L statements and margins.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Proven ability to analyze, report, and present sales data effectively.
• Ability to build partnerships and drive sales with customers.

Responsibilities

• Guide and support overall sales performance and pipeline health; ensure new business and account expansion targets are met.
• Establish territories and quotas; analyze market trends, competitor info and forecasts for market penetration.
• Maintain field coaching; qualify and call on new business opportunities with AMs.
• Train and mentor Account Managers in core sales methodologies and revenue opportunity capture.
• Conduct formal monthly reviews with AMs to optimize territory growth and performance.
• Grow and retain a portfolio of key regional accounts with strong customer experience.
• Implement pricing plans and review contract price files to optimize margins.
• Collaborate with Account Executives to align regional sales strategies and training.
• Identify expansion opportunities and operational efficiencies within existing accounts; schedule BD reviews.
• Extra duties as assigned.
